Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 37 - 31 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Carter Wright!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nikita Rianin!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rianin connects with a jab.
It looks like Carter Wright has been cut.
Wright moves out of range as Rianin strikes.
The fighters circling - Wright throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Rianin displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Rianin clobbers Wright with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Wright moves forwards but Rianin connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Carter Wright's cut is getting worse.
A jab from Rianin finds it's way through Wright's defenses.
Rianin lands a big uppercut and Wright crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Wright looks OK. Rianin waves Wright back to his feet!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rianin throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Wright stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Rianin lands a big right hand that sends Wright crashing to the mat! Rianin stays standing though and waves Wright back to his feet!
Wright is rocked!
Carter Wright's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Carter Wright's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Nikita Rianin!
Nikita Rianin was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
