Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Captain Maine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christian Bowman!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Phil Schofield and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maine throws a shot from downtown. Bowman moves away and avoids it.
Bowman's coach down at Tap Out Tuesday was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bowman's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Maine on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Bowman. Bowman obviously looking to wear him down.

Maine chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bowman can pounce on him.
Bowman will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Maine changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Maine has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bowman is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Maine.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Maine doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maine looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bowman is fending him off so far but Maine persists. Nope, Bowman circles away and we're back to standing.

Bowman lands a nice leg kick that just misses Maine's sensitive parts.

Bowman goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Maine fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bowman avoids it really well and circles away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Maine is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

letting Bowman counter with a right hand.
Bowman pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Maine back to the cage. Bowman follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Maine is rocked!
Bowman walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Maine drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Bowman swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Maine's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

After winning the bout, Christian Bowman thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
