Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between James Johnson (ranked 294 p4p, 275 weight class) and Raja Guru (ranked 35 p4p, 32 weight class). James Johnson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Raja Guru! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson misses with a looping right. Guru throws out a counter right but Johnson avoids it with no problem. James Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johnson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Guru connects with a nice looking jab.
Johnson throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Guru's head.
 It looks like Raja Guru has been cut. Guru moves out of range of the strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Guru finds it's way round the side to connect with Johnson's head.
 It looks like James Johnson has been cut. Johnson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Guru throws a right hand that misses
and Johnson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Guru lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Guru throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Guru is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.
Johnson swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Johnson misses the jab. Guru is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Johnson with a body shot. Johnson looks to land a left hand but Guru moved out of range nicely. Johnson slips a straight right by Guru. Johnson throws a counter high kick but Guru was just alert enough to avoid it. Guru cracks Johnson with a right hand to the side of the head.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Guru lands a big right hand that sends Johnson crashing to the mat! Guru stays standing though and waves Johnson back to his feet! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Johnson looks to throw the jab but Guru is out of range.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice straight punches there by Johnson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Johnson. Johnson throws a series of punches but Guru moves out of range. Guru checks a low kick from Johnson. Guru throws out a loose jab but Johnson uses good head movement to avoid it. Nice straight punches there by Guru. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Guru. Johnson throws the left hand but Guru avoids the punch easily. Guru throws an overhand right that lands on Johnson's shoulder, as Johnson tries to avoid the shot. Johnson quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson misses with a series of wild punches.
Guru takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Johnson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Guru was well out of range. Poor timing from Johnson. Guru walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Johnson swats away the attempt to clinch by Guru. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Raja Guru will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Back to the action!
Guru misses with a straight right. Johnson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Johnson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Guru circles away quickly and effectively. Johnson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Guru moves away. Guru throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Johnson might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Guru uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Johnson has time to react.
 James Johnson's cut is getting worse.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Guru clinches up with Johnson and pushes him back against the cage. A left hand lands to the body for Johnson.
Guru doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Guru breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Guru throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Oooooh!!! Guru has knocked Johnson down with a huge combo! Guru steps away and waves a wobbly Johnson back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
 Johnson is rocked! Guru throws a lazy right hand but Johnson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Oh Johnson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Guru throws a lazy uppercut
and Johnson counters with a one-two to the body. Johnson seems to have got his legs back now. Johnson is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Johnson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Guru moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Johnson takes a kick to the side of the head.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson throws a right hand that misses
and Guru counters with a huge left! Johnson is in big trouble! He's backing up but Guru isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Johnson from any more damage. A dominating finish by Guru!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Raja Guru!
