Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Soul Taker (ranked 24925 p4p, 24649 weight class) and Lurch Iii (ranked 156 p4p, 197 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Soul Taker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lurch Iii! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taker throws a body punch but Iii moves out of range. Taker looks to land a combination but Iii avoids it well. Iii showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Taker.
Iii throws a leg kick but Taker moved away. Iii fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Taker clinches up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Iii tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Taker smiles and moves away.
Taker throws a body punch but Iii moves out of range. Iii is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Iii darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Iii looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Iii working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Iii drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Taker is wriggling around but Iii manages to pass to half guard.
Taker has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Iii is on him like a limpet, forcing Taker back against the cage.

Iii escapes and gets back to his feet. Iii goes for a double leg but Taker avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Taker continues to drive forward. Soul Taker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lurch Iii. Iii circles away from the clinch attempt.
Iii closes the distance and clinches up with Taker, looking for a takedown. Iii pushes Taker against the cage but Taker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Nice sprawl there from Taker as Iii shoots in. Taker throws a big counter combination but Iii scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Taker throws a nice looking combination but Iii bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Taker sets himself, and Iii steps forward looking for the clinch! Taker avoids it this time.
Iii looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Taker! Taker wants to get back to his feet but Iii is dominant here and he's now got Taker's back!

No luck with that takedown attempt from Iii. Lurch Iii seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Iii tries to close the distance and clinch up but Taker swats him away and circles back towards the center. Iii has a takedown stuffed. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Iii is defended easily by Taker. Soul Taker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lurch Iii. Taker wants to clinch. Iii shapes to counter with a head kick.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Iii shoots and misses and Taker counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Taker throws an off balance right hand
and Iii counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Iii tries to clinch there but Taker circles away.

Taker wants to break free but Iii has control.
Iii pulls guard effortlessly. Taker is looking to stand up but Iii won't let him. Iii is pulling down on Taker's head. It's preventing any offense from Taker, at least for the moment. Lurch Iii has got the better of the ground game so far.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Taker wants to get up but he can't break Iii's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Iii dives in and grabs Taker's left leg, looking for a takedown. Taker pushes down on Iii's head and hops out. Taker throws a head kick but Iii moves out of range.
Soul Taker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Iii is trying hard to land a takedown here. Taker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Taker swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Iii fails with the takedown and Taker counters with a series of strikes. Iii will be more careful next time no doubt. A looping hook to the body misses from Taker. Iii does a little dance to reset his feet. Iii appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Taker could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Iii blocks a head kick by Taker.

Iii fails to land the takedown. Iii shoots in for a takedown but Taker shows good takedown defense. Soul Taker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Iii's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Taker would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Iii misses with a takedown attempt - Taker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Taker tries to counter with a takedown but Iii is quick to defend against it. Iii takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Taker fails in his attempt to clinch. A punch combination from Taker misses.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Iii fails with a takedown attempt. Taker throws a right hand that Iii ducks under and follows up with a left that Iii also avoids with ease. Taker throws a nice looking combination but Iii bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Taker circles away from the clinch attempt.

Taker is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A left and a right from Iii both land. Nice combination.

Iii's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Taker looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Iii! But no joy.
And that's the end of the fight! Soul Taker showed his dominance in that final round. I think Taker has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
