Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Talan Boone (ranked 3973 p4p, 25818 weight class) and Arlan Sokolov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arlan Sokolov will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arlan Sokolov!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sokolov tries to clinch but Boone moves out of range.
Sokolov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Boone swivels and escapes.
Boone feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Boone advances to half guard.
Sokolov looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Boone scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Boone is working for a kimura here but Sokolov manages to reverse the position and he's now in Boone's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sokolov is fighting to break Boone's control of his arms but Boone is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sokolov postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Boone is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sokolov, into his guard.
Boone controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Boone distracts Sokolov with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Boone stands up over Sokolov, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Sokolov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Boone controls the pace.
Boone postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sokolov is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Boone, into his guard.
Sokolov is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Boone is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Boone has escaped and now he's on top!
Boone forces his way into half guard.

Boone is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sokolov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Boone.
Sokolov looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Boone winds up and cracks Sokolov with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Sokolov looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Boone working over Sokolov with some ground and pound. Sokolov looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Boone is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Sokolov seems a little lost for a moment, as Boone dominates the positioning.
Boone creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Sokolov takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Boone scores with a couple of short elbows.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A lull in the action here.
Sokolov is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Boone off and has taken his back!
Boone rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Boone is holding on to half guard well.
Sokolov is looking for a kimura but Boone is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sokolov to get the leverage.
Sokolov is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Sokolov looks winded!
Boone manages to get to full guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Talan Boone dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Sokolov moves in looking to clinch but Boone pushes him off.
Boone is looking for a counter combo.
Sokolov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Boone is trying to defend but Sokolov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Sokolov thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are battling for position here. Boone manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Sokolov throws a sloppy strike and Boone has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Sokolov is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Boone!
