Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danny Chase (ranked 2428 p4p, 1322 weight class) and Buntaro Funaki (ranked 264 p4p, 166 weight class). Chase comes to the cage accompanied by Ambitionz Az a Ridah. Buntaro Funaki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

With a record of 5 - 1 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Buntaro Funaki!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Funaki has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It seemed like Funaki was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Chase uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Funaki has time to react.

A little jabbing left from Funaki on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Funaki lunges at Chase with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Chase's hand.
Funaki attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

and Funaki counters with a crisp right that sends Chase to the canvas! Funaki follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
