Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Robert Jason!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Carsen Dalton!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dalton tries to close the distance and clinch but Jason swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dalton thows a leg kick but Jason checks it
and Jason counters with a takedown into side control.
Dalton trying to remain calm as Jason controls from the top position.
Dalton is trying to get back to half guard.
Dalton can't do much from the bottom here.
Jason thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Jason stands up and we're back to a striking position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Dalton enables Jason to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dalton manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Jason is standing up over Dalton. Dalton looks to escape but Jason dives into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.

The referee asks Jason politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jason prefers to stall for the moment though.
Dalton tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
A nice elbow there by Jason.
Dalton is rocked!
Jason is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Dalton is forced to tap! Great finish!
