Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Livija Aydan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnanthony Alvarez!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aydan lands with a kick to the temple. Alvarez shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Johnanthony Alvarez has been cut.
Aydan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Alvarez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Alvarez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Aydan holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Alvarez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Aydan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Alvarez wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Aydan pulls guard successfully.
Aydan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Aydan wants to free his trapped foot but Alvarez is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Aydan is trying to control the action in half guard but Alvarez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Aydan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Alvarez knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Alvarez gets back to full guard.
Aydan working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Alvarez's head.
Alvarez is rocked!
Aydan loads up on a big left hand. Alvarez felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Aydan looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Alvarez can't hide his disappointment, as Aydan celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Livija Aydan!
