Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kjeld Nuis (ranked 1903 p4p, 3916 weight class) and Jaylan Spence (ranked 196 p4p, 320 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kjeld Nuis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jaylan Spence!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spence shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nuis as he jumps to the side.
Nuis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Spence looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Nuis fails to land with a series of punches.
Spence moves out of range as Nuis strikes.
Nuis throws a combination that misses
and Spence counters with a straight right hand.
Spence takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Nuis takes a swing at Spence's ribcage but misses.
Nuis fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Spence closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Spence tries to stand but Nuis is controlling his head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nuis is stalling here. Spence is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Nuis seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Spence has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Spence thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Spence wants to control but Nuis is keeping him busy.
Spence is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nuis struggling a bit here.
Nuis definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Spence wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nuis keeps working.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Nuis is looking to regain half guard here but Spence keeps moving and retains side control.
Nuis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Spence has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Nuis clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

A close second round but Jaylan Spence will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Nuis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Spence steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Nuis.
Spence takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Nuis digs a good body shot into Spence's ribs.
Spence will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Spence fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nuis avoids it really well and circles away.
Kjeld Nuis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jaylan Spence.
Spence takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Nuis fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
