Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kaito Kuroda (ranked 2122 p4p, 2571 weight class) and Oleksandr Kareliyn (ranked 238 p4p, 276 weight class). Kaito Kuroda has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kaito Kuroda! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Oleksandr Kareliyn! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Sam Margolis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kareliyn lands with a cross. Kuroda fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kuroda misses the shot to the body. Kareliyn with a body punch. A glancing blow. Kuroda throws a body punch but Kareliyn moves out of range. Kareliyn with a lazy takedown attempt and Kuroda counters with a nice body kick.
Kuroda lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kareliyn tries for a takedown but Kuroda circles away easily and Kuroda counters with a nice uppercut. Sloppy strikes from Kuroda. Those never looked like landing.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kuroda tries to land a front kick but Kareliyn steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Kareliyn changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Kareliyn misses with a hook. Kuroda throws a big counter combination but Kareliyn scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Kuroda slips a straight right by Kareliyn. No joy there for Kareliyn, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
As Kareliyn tries to get set, Kuroda tries to push him back and clinch up but Kareliyn manages to avoid the attempt. Horrible takedown attempt by Kareliyn or perhaps it was just good defense by Kuroda, which made it look bad. Kaito Kuroda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oleksandr Kareliyn. Kuroda takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Kareliyn misses with a looping right.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Kuroda tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kareliyn tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Kuroda takes one on the button. Kuroda avoids the body shot from Kareliyn.
A little feinted left hand from Kuroda on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Kareliyn tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kuroda was well out of range. Poor timing from Kareliyn. Kuroda connects with a right hand. Kareliyn shakes it off. Kuroda throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kareliyn with the counter takedown but Kuroda avoids it easily. Kuroda throws a body shot but no joy. Kareliyn throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Kuroda throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kareliyn.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Kareliyn misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kuroda tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kareliyn paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kuroda misses with a body kick. Kuroda misses with a series of wild punches.
Kareliyn is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Kuroda takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Kareliyn connects with a body shot. Kuroda goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Kuroda's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kareliyn under the eye. Kareliyn fails to land the takedown. Kareliyn uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kuroda. Kareliyn tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Kareliyn scores with a shot to the body.
Oleksandr Kareliyn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kareliyn scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Kareliyn throws a jab when Kuroda was well out of range. Kuroda uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kareliyn.
Kareliyn lands with an overhand left. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Oleksandr Kareliyn will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Kuroda scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kareliyn in his tracks. Kuroda fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Kaito Kuroda is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kuroda misses with a wild combination.
And Kareliyn tries to counter it with a takedown but Kuroda pushes his down on his head and steps out. Kareliyn fails with a takedown attempt. Kuroda throwing a counter right hand but Kareliyn manages to avoid it. Kuroda uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kareliyn.

Kareliyn scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Kareliyn not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Kuroda on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Kareliyn sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kuroda defending well though.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Kuroda looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kareliyn is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kuroda is just riding it out for now. Kareliyn eventually gives up the hold. Kuroda is looking to escape. Kareliyn landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kareliyn working his ground and pound in the gym. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kuroda has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kareliyn is working away from the top position though. Kareliyn lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Kuroda is trying to get back to full guard. Kareliyn throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Kuroda pushes Kareliyn off looking to stand but Kareliyn dives back in and keeps control.
Kareliyn has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kareliyn sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kuroda defending well though. Kareliyn is pressing down on Kuroda's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kuroda is holding on for now. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Kareliyn is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kuroda trying to control from the bottom.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kareliyn changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kuroda looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Kuroda wants to get back to his feet but Kareliyn drags him back down. Check out the look on Kareliyn's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Kuroda is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Kareliyn trying to control the position but Kuroda is working away. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kareliyn lands a nice forearm strike. Kuroda tries to escape but Kareliyn is in control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. You can see the frustration on Kuroda's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Kareliyn in side control lands a decent elbow. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Oleksandr Kareliyn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Kuroda. Kareliyn shrugs it off though. A swing and a miss from Kuroda. And Kareliyn tries to counter it with a takedown but Kuroda pushes his down on his head and steps out. Kuroda pushing out the jab but it's not landing. A punch lands to the side of Kuroda 's head but he takes it in his stride.

And that's the end of the fight! Oleksandr Kareliyn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kareliyn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
