Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Umar Gachayev (ranked 3958 p4p, 4542 weight class) and Shin Sharp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Umar Gachayev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shin Sharp! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sharp misses with a takedown attempt - Gachayev sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Gachayev connects with the punch. Sharp uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gachayev.

Gachayev shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sharp's guard. Sharp is wriggling around but Gachayev manages to pass to half guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gachayev in particular looking to stall. Sharp wants to control the action here but instead Gachayev manages to pass to full mount!

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Sharp is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Gachayev controlling the pace for now. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sharp can do anything to dispel that myth. Gachayev seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Sharp for as long as he can get away with.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Sharp is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Sharp can't escape the position.
Gachayev blocks Sharp's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Sharp tries to hold on but Gachayev pushes him away. Gachayev looking to control and managing it successfully. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gachayev breaks from Sharp's wrist control and lands an elbow. Gachayev controlling from mount. Gachayev has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Sharp is working to get back to half guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Gachayev takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sharp is in all sorts of trouble here.

Gachayev connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sharp. Sharp circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Gachayev has Sharp pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Gachayev pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sharp tumbling to the mat - Gachayev dives into Sharp's guard. Gachayev is stalling in the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gachayev works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Sharp tries to roll over but Gachayev keeps him under control. Gachayev looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Gachayev avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Gachayev throws a series of punches but Sharp avoids them all with ease. Sharp fails with a takedown attempt. Umar Gachayev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gachayev feints and as Sharp raises his hands in defense, Gachayev changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Gachayev controls from within his opponent's guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Gachayev passes Sharp's left leg - he's now in half guard. Gachayev seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Shin Sharp has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Umar Gachayev is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that's the end of the fight! Umar Gachayev showed his dominance in that final round. Well Gachayev has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
