Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Anabolic Asteroid (ranked 1561 p4p, 1344 weight class) and Matija Maestro (ranked 155 p4p, 131 weight class). Asteroid comes to the cage accompanied by For Heavy Metal we will die!. Maestro has chosen Planet Caravan - Black Sabbath as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 38 - 23 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anabolic Asteroid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matija Maestro!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Viktor Lagutenko and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maestro lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Asteroid uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Maestro.
Asteroid drops down looking for a counter takedown but Maestro sprawls and moves away.
Maestro swings widly with a right hand
and Asteroid counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maestro is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Asteroid controls from within his opponent's guard.
Asteroid got a little sloppy there for a moment and Maestro has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Asteroid has managed to get both his arms back between Maestro's legs - danger averted.
Asteroid knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Maestro on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maestro looking for a sweep. Not yet Maestro, not yet.

Maestro managing to control the position.
Maestro is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Asteroid ducks under a wild hook from Maestro.
Asteroid tries to counter with a takedown but Maestro is quick to defend against it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Maestro lands an overhand right.
Maestro connects with a single shot there.
Asteroid takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Maestro scores with a hook.
Maestro misses with an uppercut
and Asteroid counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Maestro controls Asteroid momentarily but Asteroid frees himself.
Maestro is pulling down on Asteroid's head. It's preventing any offense from Asteroid, at least for the moment.
Asteroid seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Maestro looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Maestro is looking to cinch up a triangle. Asteroid throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Maestro's body to avoid the submission. Maestro has instead reached around Asteroid's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Maestro arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Matija Maestro!
