Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Zack Rize!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Munkh Tengri!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Konstantin Menshow and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rize misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Tengri counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rize throws an overhand right that lands on Tengri's shoulder, as Tengri tries to avoid the shot.
Tengri swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Rize throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Rize misses with a right hand
and Tengri counters with a nice uppercut.
Tengri ducks under a wild hook from Rize.
Tengri replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Rize blocks it well.
Rize misses with the body kick
and Tengri cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rize waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Tengri.
Rize throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Zack Rize seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rize misses with a body punch
and Tengri counters with a nice body shot.
Rize tries to clinch there but Tengri circles away.
Tengri replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Rize blocks it well.
Tengri lunges at Rize with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Rize's hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tengri drops Rize with a straight right hand, right on the button! Tengri follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Munkh Tengri!
Munkh Tengri seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
