Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Adonis Ariti (ranked 1388 p4p, 2012 weight class) and Alphonse Carvalho (ranked 131 p4p, 185 weight class). Ariti's entrance music is Shook Ones Pt 2. A fine choice. Alphonse Carvalho acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Adonis Ariti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alphonse Carvalho!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ariti shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ariti was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Carvalho felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Carvalho is looking to reverse the position.
Carvalho can't do much from the bottom here.
Carvalho sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Ariti trying to control the action but Carvalho is working from the bottom.
It looks like Ariti is going to stand back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carvalho looking for submissions off his back.

Ariti slows the pace down in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carvalho trying to control but Ariti postures up.
Ariti not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Carvalho tries to roll over but Ariti keeps him under control.
Ariti wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carvalho keeps working.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Ariti fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Carvalho avoids it really well and circles away.
Carvalho drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Ariti defends it well.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ariti.
Ariti leaves Carvalho with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ariti closes the distance and clinches up with Carvalho, looking for a takedown. Ariti pushes Carvalho against the cage but Carvalho circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adonis Ariti. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Carvalho shoots for a double leg takedown but Ariti sprawls well. He's pushed Carvalho's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Carvalho fails with the takedown.
Ariti decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Ariti is looking to take a break and control but Carvalho is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Carvalho makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Carvalho.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ariti avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Carvalho swats away the attempt to clinch by Ariti.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ariti looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Carvalho shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ariti pinned against the cage. Ariti gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ariti swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ariti throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Carvalho.
Ariti tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Carvalho defends well and Ariti ends up having to push Carvalho into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Carvalho tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Carvalho jumps guard and drags Ariti to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Carvalho has his foot on Ariti's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ariti works his way back into a safe position though.
Carvalho is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Ariti rolls with it to try and escape but Carvalho cranks on the arm and Ariti is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Alphonse Carvalho!
