Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Cairns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mario Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie staying out of range there.
Cairns throws a shot from downtown. Gracie moves away and avoids it.
Cairns scores with a nice right hand.
It looks like Mario Gracie has been cut.
Cairns tries to sprawl but Gracie drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Cairns is not content to let Gracie control the position.
Cairns is in trouble now - Gracie has advanced to mount!
Gracie scoring with strikes but Cairns is staying in there.
Gracie is landing with some decent strikes but Cairns is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gracie takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Cairns definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Cairns in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Gracie wants to control the pace but Cairns is squirming around nicely.
Gracie is landing with some decent strikes but Cairns is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Cairns knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.
Gracie has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Cairns's face.
Gracie misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
