With a record of 26 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Otto McBean!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
River throws a poor cross that misses
and McBean counters with a lovely straight right hand!

River fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
River looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
River swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McBean misses with a wild body shot.
McBean wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
River takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
River scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

It looks like Otto McBean has been cut.
McBean throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
McBean uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from River .
McBean looks to land a left hand but River moved out of range nicely.
River is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
River works the jab nicely.
This has been an exciting period of action!

River closes the distance and clinches.
A right hook to the body lands for River .
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for McBean.
River can't find room to land a body shot as McBean controls the action.
River lands a right hand that snaps the head of McBean backwards.

McBean drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but River manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now McBean has River in his guard.

A relieved looking James River thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
