Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Caden Malone (ranked 2670 p4p, 2911 weight class) and Alonzo Conner (ranked 225 p4p, 233 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Caden Malone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alonzo Conner! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Kavanagh and Jonathan Paton.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malone shoots in and bounces Conner off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Conner kicks Malone off and gets to his feet. We've been informed that Conner has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Malone moves into the clinch successfully.
Malone prevents a takedown attempt there.
Malone misses with the head strike.
Malone utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Malone obliges. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Malone stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Conner on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Malone tries a body shot but Conner blocks it.
Malone stalling in the clinch.
Malone pulls Conner into guard.
Conner passes into half guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Malone wants to get back to full guard. Conner missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Conner wants to control but Malone is keeping him busy. Malone is looking for a sweep. Conner is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Conner looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Conner is keen to just control but Malone is a slippery customer. Malone tries to roll over but Conner keeps him under control. Malone is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at D.S.T.S, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Conner in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Malone tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Conner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Alonzo Conner! Alonzo Conner very nearly forgot to thank Dont Strive To Survive amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
