Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marduk Maratov (ranked 3479 p4p, 5053 weight class) and Peter Okropir (ranked 350 p4p, 412 weight class). Maratov comes to the ring accompanied by Ultra Instinct Theme. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Maratov, as that shot connected.
Nice takedown defense from Okropir. No joy for Maratov on that attempt.
Okropir throws a good cross that connects.
It looks like Marduk Maratov has been cut.
Maratov swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Okropir counters with a three punch combo that has Maratov backing up. Maratov nods at Okropir to acknowledge the strikes.
Maratov scores with a takedown into Okropir's guard.
Okropir manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the ropes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Okropir is pressed up against the ropes. Maratov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Okropir down to the mat. Okropir avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Okropir shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Maratov tries to bench press Okropir off him but Okropir keeps the position.

Okropir feints a jab promting Maratov to slip. Okropir then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Maratov slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Maratov fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Okropir to the ground. Maratov is now in Okropir's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Maratov tries to free his leg and advance position but Okropir is retaining full guard.
