Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Re Mora (ranked 803 p4p, 1826 weight class) and Teboho Matekane (ranked 78 p4p, 173 weight class). Mora's entrance music is Freestyle Zampa - IDS. A fine choice. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Teboho Matekane!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mora misses with a hook. Matekane ducked under it nicely.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Matekane has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Re Mora seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mora fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Matekane manages to avoid it.
Matekane is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

We've been hearing good reports from Mora's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Matekane is looking to work some ground and pound but Mora has wrist control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Matekane tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Mora paws at him with a jab and circles away.
