Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Karl De Uno (ranked 782 p4p, 1211 weight class) and Damien Holt (ranked 113 p4p, 168 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Karl De Uno!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Damien Holt!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Holt fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging De Uno to the ground. Holt is now in De Uno's guard.

De Uno wants to sweep but no luck.

Holt drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Holt jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Holt seems to be looking for submissions.
De Uno's coaches at Kaptajnernes Træningscenter have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

Holt is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and De Uno defends it well.
Holt is stalling here. De Uno is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Holt seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and De Uno has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

De Uno decides to take the fight back to the feet.

De Uno throws a chopping leg kick but Holt manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Holt takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
De Uno throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Holt's waist but Holt gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing De Uno off to one side.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

De Uno's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That was a close round but I would say that Karl De Uno will probably get the nod.

Holt looking to break De Uno's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. De Uno remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Holt will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Well, with Holt on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before De Uno is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Holt tries to get the hooks in deep but De Uno pushed the leg off.

Holt is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. De Uno has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Holt has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! De Uno taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Holt doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Damien Holt!

Damien Holt decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
The defeated Karl De Uno had this to say: 'I am not happy with my performance. It’s back to the Dog house, train and grind to be much better for the next fight. Congrats to the winner. Hopefully I can avenge this loss someday'.
