Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 60 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Hall! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Max Claxton! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Steve Montenegro and Chad Campbell.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Claxton lands a slapping body shot.
Hall takes a jab right on the kisser.
Claxton looks to score with a jab to the body but Hall is just out of range. Claxton throws a lazy right hand but Hall sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hall closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Claxton did well to prevent Hall getting side control. Claxton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hall is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Claxton is just riding it out for now. Hall eventually gives up the hold. Claxton wants to improve his position but Hall is controlling well.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Hall wants to control but Claxton is keeping him busy.
Hall is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Claxton looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Hall seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Claxton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Claxton is looking for a sweep. Hall is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Hall is looking for a kimura but Claxton is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hall to get the leverage. The fighters are battling for position here. Claxton manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Claxton looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Claxton is trying to keep Hall in close.
Claxton pulls Hall in close to his closed guard and prevents Hall from doing any damage or advancing position. Hall trying to control but Claxton is working from the bottom. Claxton wants to sweep but no luck. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Hall trying to control the position from guard on top but Claxton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Claxton throws a body shot but no joy. Claxton lands a nice looking body shot.
Hall fails with a takedown attempt. Hall displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Claxton.
Hall drives through with a takedown into Claxton's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Hall trying to control the position from guard on top but Claxton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Claxton lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Claxton loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Claxton lying in Hall's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Hall decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Claxton taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
