The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Alyssa Summers and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chiellini misses with a two punch combination.
Merrit jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Merrit clinches with his opponent.
Merrit blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Merrit avoiding damage as Chiellini throws knees to the body.
Chiellini breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Chiellini throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Merrit.
Merrit shoots in for a takedown but Chiellini shows good takedown defense.
Chiellini throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Merrit tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Chiellini is in Merrit's guard.
