Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kimmo Peramaki (ranked 1347 p4p, 1350 weight class) and Addy Edison (ranked 156 p4p, 157 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Edison's choice of entrance music: Entry of the gladiators. Kimmo Peramaki had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.5lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Addy Edison has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 45 - 30 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kimmo Peramaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Addy Edison!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Kavanagh and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peramaki gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Edison lands a nice shot to the body.
Peramaki tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Edison lands with a short shot to the head.
Peramaki is trying to pull guard but Edison turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Edison misses with a short punch on the inside.
Peramaki throws a punch but it's blocked by Edison.
Edison lands a hook that snaps the head of Peramaki backwards.

Peramaki jumps guard but Edison turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Peramaki tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Edison defends well and Peramaki ends up having to push Edison into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Peramaki jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Edison walks away with a smile on his face. Peramaki gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Peramaki takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Edison clinches up with Peramaki and pushes him back against the cage.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Peramaki is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Edison defends well.
Peramaki will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Edison has hold of one of Peramaki's legs. Peramaki is fighting the takedown attempt but Edison gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well Edison has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
