Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between The Purple Gang (ranked 2033 p4p, 3100 weight class) and Toe Jam (ranked 251 p4p, 349 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Purple Gang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 19 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Toe Jam!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gang throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jam has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Gang uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jam.
Gang swings for the body but Jam moves out of range.
Jam throws out a counter right but Gang avoids it with no problem.
Gang darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Gang slips under a jab from Jam.
Jam misses with a hook.
Gang swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Toe Jam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gang throws a body punch but Jam moves out of range.
Gang throws a series of punches but Jam avoids them all with ease.

and Gang counters with a stiff right hand.
Gang shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Jam is looking to control Gang's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jam avoid being mounted?
Gang working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Gang takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gang connects with a nice short shot to Jam's temple.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jam holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Gang tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Gang lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Gang with shots to the head and body - Jam looks very uncomfortable down there.
Gang sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

A big strike lands for Gang! That's really hurt Jam and he's turned his back - Gang keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Gang jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
