PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Enuardo James (ranked 2210 p4p, 2509 weight class) and Victor Kramer (ranked 186 p4p, 212 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Enuardo James has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Enuardo James seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Enuardo James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Victor Kramer!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Kavanagh and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kramer with a poor takedown
and James counters with a straight right hand.
Kramer tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but James swivels and escapes.
Victor Kramer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
James throws a leg kick but Kramer checks it.
Kramer tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Kramer walks into a left hand.
Kramer misses with a takedown attempt
and James counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Enuardo James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Victor Kramer.
A nice inside leg kick there by James. That's going to slow Kramer down.
Kramer looks for a takedown but James sprawls well.
Kramer takes one to the chin there.
Kramer walks into a jab.
Kramer on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
James lands a jab to Kramer's midsection.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
James lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kramer goes for a double leg but James avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as James continues to drive forward.
James appears to be looking for a big counter.
James moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Kramer dives in and grabs James's left leg, looking for a takedown. James pushes down on Kramer's head and hops out.
James lands with a hook. Kramer tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Kramer shoots and misses
and James counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kramer's knee momentarily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
James lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kramer at a distance.
James's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kramer under the eye.
Kramer doesn't succeed with the takedown
and James counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
James lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
James lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
James moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Kramer moves out of range of the body kick from James.
Kramer drops down looking to force a counter takedown but James defends it well.
James scores with a nice strike.
James connects with a looping right hand.

James closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kramer quickly recovers to half guard.
James perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
James thows a huge punch but Kramer dodges it nicely.
James is figuring out what he wants to do next.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kramer is trying to get back to full guard.
Kramer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of James's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take James's back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

James is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Well, with Kramer on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before James is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
James is trying to break free.
James is working hard here to advance position.

Kramer sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! James taps out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Victor Kramer!
An out of breath Victor Kramer thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
