Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Duncan Vazquez (ranked 1262 p4p, 3796 weight class) and Duck Silva (ranked 128 p4p, 277 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Duncan Vazquez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Duck Silva! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva has a takedown stuffed. Silva throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Vazquez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silva won't be happy with that. Silva sneaks back into half guard. Silva has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Bigfoot BJJ. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Silva is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Vazquez pulls his head out easily. Silva is pressing down on Vazquez's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Vazquez makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Vazquez landing with the ground and pound. Vazquez cracks Silva with a solid left hand.
Vazquez avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Vazquez postures up in Silva's guard and throws a big left but Silva blocks it.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Silva preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Vazquez throws a big right hand that misses. Silva has momentary wrist control but Vazquez slips an elbow through the middle. Vazquez scoring with punches to the head and body.
Silva working for submissions but it's allowed Vazquez to get to half guard.
Silva works his way to full guard. Good work. Vazquez makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vazquez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vazquez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Vazquez landing with the ground and pound. Vazquez works over Silva with some ground and pound from guard. Vazquez looking to sit in guard and control but Silva gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva preventing the sweep. Vazquez pulls Silva in to control the position. Vazquez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Silva passes Vazquez's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Vazquez trying to hold on to Silva's head to control him but Silva postures up.
Vazquez looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Silva is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Silva is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Vazquez as he works his way to full guard.
Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but Vazquez is retaining full guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva stopping the sweep attempt from Vazquez. Silva tries to stand but Vazquez is controlling from the bottom. Silva trying to control but Vazquez is working from the bottom.
Vazquez is looking for a triangle but Silva pushes his legs off easily.
Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vazquez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vazquez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Vazquez's legs - danger averted.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Vazquez is looking for a triangle but Silva pushes his legs off easily.
Silva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Silva drops back looking for a leg! Vazquez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vazquez manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Vazquez's guard.

 That's five minutes gone in the round. Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Vazquez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Silva looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Vazquez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Vazquez content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Vazquez connects with a couple of short punches.
 That's six minutes gone in the round. Vazquez keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Silva's head. Vazquez trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Vazquez lands a couple of decent looking shots. Silva preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Vazquez passes into half guard. Silva moves into full guard.
Silva looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Silva had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Vazquez defends it easily. Vazquez cracks Silva with a solid left hand.
 That's seven minutes gone in the round. Vazquez throws a big elbow that misses. Vazquez tries to free his leg and advance position but Silva is retaining full guard. Vazquez postures up and lands a big shot to Silva's brow. Vazquez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard. Silva keeping moving, preventing Vazquez from controlling successfully.

Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vazquez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Vazquez throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Duncan Vazquez is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
 That's eight minutes gone in the round. Vazquez content to stall in guard here. Vazquez trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom. Silva can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Vazquez controls the pace. Vazquez wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
Silva is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Silva is looking for a triangle here but Vazquez uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Vazquez is staying tight to Silva's torso, preventing him from escaping. Vazquez trying to control the action but Silva is working from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Vazquez moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Duncan Vazquez showed his dominance in that final round. Well Vazquez has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Duncan Vazquez wins by unanimous decision! A less than humble Duncan Vazquez misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
