Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Tempest!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brad MacnChee!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacnChee avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
MacnChee appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
No joy there for Tempest, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from MacnChee! But no joy.
Tempest scores with a jab to the jaw.
Tempest misses with a straight right.
A nice side step and MacnChee releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
MacnChee takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
MacnChee avoids a punch combination nicely.
We've been informed that MacnChee has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Tempest misses with a double jab.
Tempest swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tempest misses with a hook
and Tempest takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Tempest throws an off balance right hand
and MacnChee counters with a nice body shot.
MacnChee ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tempest falls off balance throwing a combination
and MacnChee counters with a crisp right hand that drops Tempest! MacnChee lets Tempest back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
It looks like Paul Tempest has been cut.
Tempest is breathing heavily.
Tempest swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and MacnChee counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tempest thinking.
That's one minute gone in the round.
MacnChee drops Tempest with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Tempest looks back up at him and smiles so MacnChee waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Tempest is rocked!
Tempest jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Tempest is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. MacnChee doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Tempest crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Tempest's bad books for that mishap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Brad MacnChee!
