Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vicente Washington (ranked 4919 p4p, 3785 weight class) and Jameis Armando (ranked 303 p4p, 276 weight class). Jameis Armando is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vicente Washington! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jameis Armando! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Fujiwara.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Washington shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Armando defends it nicely. Armando lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Washington doesn't succeed with the takedown and Armando counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Washington tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Armando defends well and Washington ends up having to push Armando into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vicente Washington. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Armando is defending well against a takedown attempt. Armando works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Armando has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Washington tries for a takedown. No joy.
Washington looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Armando just leaning against Washington, taking a breather.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Armando has had enough of the clinch but Washington keeps him there for the moment.

Washington shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Armando but Armando pushes him off and we're back to square one. Armando drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Washington defends it well.
Armando gets caught napping as Washington dives in and scores a takedown. Armando manages to retain guard. Armando being controlled here, momentarily. Armando can't keep his opponent in guard - Washington advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. We've been hearing that Washington has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Washington content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Armando is in trouble now - Washington has advanced to mount! Armando is squirming around, avoiding Washington's attempts to control the action. Washington punishing his opponent with strikes. Washington content just to control the position here. Washington is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Armando can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Washington unloading with bombs! Washington wants to control the pace but Armando is squirming around nicely.

Washington landing strikes, looking to finish! Washington is in the full mount, landing strikes. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Washington working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Armando looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Washington! Submission of the night perhaps?
