The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Armando defends it nicely.
Armando lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Washington doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Armando counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Washington tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Armando defends well and Washington ends up having to push Armando into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.
