Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chase Karlson (ranked 1893 p4p, 1784 weight class) and Nathan Chambers (ranked 226 p4p, 213 weight class). Chase Karlson has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nathan Chambers!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chambers shoots in and drives through. Karlson sprawls well.
Chambers shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Karlson pinned against the ropes. Karlson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Karlson misses with a few strikes there.
Chambers shoots for a double leg takedown but Karlson sprawls well. He's pushed Chambers's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Chambers changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Karlson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Let's hope that Chambers has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Karlson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Chambers has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
