The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neo stuffs the takedown attempt from Benton. Benton gets slowly back to his feet.
Benton shoots in for a double leg but Neo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Benton shoots and misses
letting Neo counter with a right hand.

Neo throws out a loose jab but Benton uses good head movement to avoid it.

Benton shoots in and gets a takedown into Neo's guard.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Benton looks for a takedown but Neo sprawls well.

and Neo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Neo counters with a left to the body.
Neo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Benton.
Benton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Neo unleashes a big counter combination but Benton bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Benton shoots in for a takedown but Neo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Neo looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Benton tries for a takedown but Neo circles away easily
and Neo counters with a nice body shot.
Benton gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Neo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Benton shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Neo's guard.
Neo keeping moving, preventing Benton from controlling successfully.

We've been informed that Neo has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Neo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Benton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Benton won't allow Neo to get back to his feet.

Benton is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Neo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Benton definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Benton shoots in but no luck this time.
Benton shoots for a double leg takedown but Neo sprawls well. He's pushed Benton's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Neo throws out a counter right but Benton avoids it with no problem.
Benton fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Benton tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Neo swivels and escapes.
Benton tries to score a power double leg takedown but Neo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Benton somewhat.
Benton shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Neo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Benton.
Benton has his takedown stuffed
and Neo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Benton shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Neo defends it nicely.
Benton doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Neo counters with a nice uppercut.
Benton shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Neo as he jumps to the side.

Benton throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Neo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Benton is in Neo's guard.

Benton dives in and grabs Neo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Neo pushes down on Benton's head and hops out.
Benton has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Benton there as he acknowledges the shot.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Benton.

Benton closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Neo's guard.

Neo is trying to stand and escape. In the scramble, Benton has locked hold of an arm and he's managed to lock on an armbar - Neo taps out instantly and this one is all over!
