Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bayrock Leznir (ranked 2651 p4p, 2421 weight class) and Maximus Meridius (ranked 272 p4p, 257 weight class). Meridius has chosen “Remember the Name” – Fort Minor as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Maximus Meridius will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Meridius. Leznir does a little dance to reset his feet.

Meridius forces Leznir back against the cage and clinches.
Meridius goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Leznir is trying to break the clinch but Meridius has him pressed against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Leznir - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Leznir swings wildly with an uppercut but Meridius uses good head movement to avoid it.

Meridius's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Maximus Meridius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Leznir throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Leznir throws out a loose jab but Meridius uses good head movement to avoid it.

Meridius fakes the leg kick and cracks Leznir in the body.
Leznir takes a swing at Meridius's ribcage but misses.
Meridius clobbers Leznir with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Meridius uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Leznir.
Leznir is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Meridius.
Meridius throws out a counter right but Leznir avoids it with no problem.
Meridius just misses with a punch to the body.

Meridius tests Leznir's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Meridius tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Leznir paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Meridius lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Leznir at a distance.
Meridius feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Leznir sprawling to the canvas! Leznir rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Meridius finish him?!
Leznir is rocked!
Crack! Meridius connects with the perfect overhand right and Leznir falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Meridius!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Maximus Meridius!
Maximus Meridius decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
