Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jurgen Klopp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Onishi Atsushi!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atsushi throws a half hearted mid kick.
Klopp quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Atsushi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Atsushi throws a sloppy head kick
and Klopp counters with a nice low kick that buckles Atsushi's knee momentarily.
Klopp closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Atsushi's guard.
Atsushi is looking to stand back up but Klopp counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Atsushi.
Klopp tries to pass the half guard into mount. Atsushi knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Klopp is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Atsushi is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jurgen Klopp!
