Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Reilly (ranked 2010 p4p, 4267 weight class) and Kai Kamalani (ranked 227 p4p, 400 weight class). Reilly comes to the ring accompanied by Red Flag - Billy Talent. Mauricio Reilly has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mauricio Reilly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kai Kamalani! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kamalani scores with a jab to the head.
Mauricio Reilly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kamalani takes one to the chin there. Kamalani is looking to clinch. Reilly fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kamalani on the side of the head. A swing and a miss from Reilly. Kamalani now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Reilly works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Kamalani forces Reilly back against the ropes and clinches. Reilly lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kamalani backwards. The referee calls for Kamalani to work.

Reilly is working Kamalani over against the ropes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The referee is keeping an eye on Reilly - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Reilly lands a left hand that snaps the head of Kamalani backwards.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Reilly throws a jab but it's blocked by Kamalani. A nice side step and Kamalani releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Reilly missing with a left hand there. Kamalani was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Nice uppercut there from Kamalani.
 It looks like Mauricio Reilly has been cut. Kamalani moves out of range of the strikes. A looping hook to the body misses from Reilly. Kamalani does a little dance to reset his feet.
Reilly darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Reilly missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Reilly throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Reilly controlling the action here. Kamalani is looking to control Reilly's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kamalani avoid being mounted? The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Reilly working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Reilly thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kamalani makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kamalani.
Kamalani is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Reilly defends well. Reilly postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Reilly tries to free his leg and advance position but Kamalani is retaining full guard. Reilly throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Reilly wants to control from the top but Kamalani keeps moving. Reilly won't allow Kamalani to sweep him here.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Kamalani trying to keep a closed guard but Reilly is proving a slippery customer.
Kamalani is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Reilly trying to control the position from guard on top but Kamalani is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Reilly keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kamalani's head. Reilly got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kamalani has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Reilly has managed to get both his arms back between Kamalani's legs - danger averted.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kamalani keeping moving, preventing Reilly from controlling successfully. Reilly postures up and lands a big shot to Kamalani's brow. Reilly works over Kamalani with some ground and pound from guard. Kamalani is trying to keep Reilly in close.
Reilly throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Reilly looking to sit in guard and control but Kamalani gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

We've been informed that Kamalani has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
 That's five minutes gone in the round. Kamalani wants to control from the top but Reilly keeps moving. Kamalani preventing the sweep. Reilly is working hard here to advance position. Reilly keeping full guard, as Kamalani tries to pass. Reilly looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kamalani is one step ahead there.
 That's six minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Reilly keeping moving, preventing Kamalani from controlling successfully.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Reilly throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kamalani counters with a lovely shot to the body. Reilly throws a hook to the side of Kamalani's head but Kamalani sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kamalani tries to sprawl but Reilly drives through with a takedown into half guard. Kamalani has a hand on Reilly's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Reilly takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Reilly unloading with bombs!
 Kamalani is rocked! Reilly with a couple of short strikes. Kamalani is still in real trouble! Can Reilly finish him? A big strike lands for Reilly! That's really hurt Kamalani and he's turned his back - Reilly keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Reilly jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mauricio Reilly! After winning the bout, Mauricio Reilly thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
