Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lamar Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Fred!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis tries to clinch there but Fred circles away.
Fred cracks Davis with an open hand slap.
Davis has his takedown stuffed
and Fred counters with an outside leg kick.
Fred throws a shot from downtown. Davis moves away and avoids it.
Lamar Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fred circles away from the clinch attempt
letting Fred counter with a right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davis tries to move into range but Fred moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Davis closes the distance but Fred moves to the side
and Fred counters with a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Davis tries for a takedown but Fred circles away easily
and Fred connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Davis wants to clinch up but Fred keeps it at a distance.
Fred looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Davis fails with the takedown.
Fred steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lamar Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Davis takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Davis tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Fred counters with a crisp right hand that drops Davis! Fred lets Davis back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Davis is rocked!
It looks like Lamar Davis has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Davis throws an off balance right hand
and Fred scores with a counter punch that sends Davis to the canvas! Fred smells blood - he's punishing Davis with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Davis has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Fred!
