Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marni Marnelle (ranked 4028 p4p, 2748 weight class) and Carlos Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marni Marnelle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Silva!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Marnelle circles away.
Silva tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Marnelle swivels and escapes.
Nice sprawl there from Silva as Marnelle shoots in.
Marnelle looking to score a takedown here. Silva is defending well but Marnelle drives through and ends up in Silva's guard.
Marnelle seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marnelle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Marnelle changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Silva fights it off and pushes away nicely.

and Marnelle counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Marnelle dives in for a single leg takedown but Silva sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

and Marnelle counters with a three punch combo that has Silva backing up. Silva nods at Marnelle to acknowledge the strikes.
Marnelle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silva manages to avoid it.
Marnelle slaps away a takedown attempt from Silva, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Silva leaves Marnelle with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Horrible takedown attempt by Marnelle or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva, which made it look bad.

Silva wants to stay close but Marnelle steps back to make room for something. Silva seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Marnelle and Silva drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
