Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Janne Varis (ranked 927 p4p, 671 weight class) and Rayan Brandt (ranked 119 p4p, 89 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Janne Varis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rayan Brandt!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandt dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Brandt looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Varis is fending him off so far but Brandt persists. Nope, Varis circles away and we're back to standing.
Janne Varis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Varis smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Brandt gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Brandt fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Varis loads up on a big right hand but Brandt slips the punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brandt shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Varis's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Varis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brandt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brandt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Varis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Brandt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Brandt gets to his feet and stands over Varis, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Varis felt that one! Brandt unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Varis from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rayan Brandt!
After the fight, Rayan Brandt was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
