Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tom Mhr (ranked 4011 p4p, 4528 weight class) and Jonah Ayers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tom Mhr could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jonah Ayers's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Mhr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jonah Ayers!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Dean Styles and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ayers has Mhr up against the cage in a clinch.
Mhr can't break the clinch.

Ayers has picked Mhr up - he's going for a ride! Ayers dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Ayers wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mhr keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mhr is looking for a sweep. Ayers is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mhr keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Ayers looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mhr with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Ayers has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Ayers has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Ayers can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mhr is looking to escape.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ayers cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Mhr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ayers on the ground.

Ayers lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Ayers scores with a couple of good head shots there.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Ayers stuffs the takedown.
Mhr slips a jab and a cross from Ayers.
Mhr shoots in looking for a takedown. Ayers tries to sprawl out of it but Mhr keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ayers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Tom Mhr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mhr shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ayers as he avoids it easily.

Ayers dives in and grabs Mhr's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mhr pushes down on Ayers's head and hops out.

Mhr shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ayers but Ayers pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mhr tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ayers paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Mhr gets caught napping as Ayers dives in and scores a takedown. Mhr manages to retain guard.
