Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Wilson Porter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Corbin Elliott!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elliott takes a jab right on the kisser.
Porter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Elliott.
Elliott tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Nice shot by Porter.
Porter fails in his attempt to clinch.
Porter throws a hook but Elliott avoids it easily.
And Elliott tries to counter it with a takedown but Porter pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Porter misses with a hook. Elliott ducked under it nicely.
Porter throws a lazy right hand but Elliott sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Elliott changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Porter darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Porter throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Elliott counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Elliott won't allow Porter to get back to his feet.
Porter not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Elliott thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Elliott trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Elliott is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Porter is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Porter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Elliott on the ground.
Elliott is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Porter is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Porter has escaped and now he's on top!
Porter has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Elliott to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Porter is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Elliott pulls down on the head and he's put Porter to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Corbin Elliott!
