Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Darius Thibodeaux (ranked 3522 p4p, 22223 weight class) and Torsten Mjölnir (ranked 340 p4p, 445 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 32 - 0, fighting out of New York, Torsten Mjölnir!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thibodeaux throws an off balance right hand
and Mjölnir counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Thibodeaux lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Thibodeaux swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mjölnir misses the jab.
A quick step to the side and Thibodeaux tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Thibodeaux uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mjölnir.

Thibodeaux feints and then cracks Mjölnir's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mjölnir down.

Mjölnir throws a right hand that Thibodeaux ducks under and follows up with a left that Thibodeaux also avoids with ease.

Thibodeaux walks into a stiff left hand from Mjölnir.
That kick from Mjölnir tenderised Thibodeaux's leg. Thibodeaux is trying to keep his angry face on.
Mjölnir scores with a jab to the jaw.
Thibodeaux bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Mjölnir throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Mjölnir lands the left hand.
Mjölnir pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Thibodeaux tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mjölnir was well out of range. Poor timing from Thibodeaux.
Mjölnir fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thibodeaux manages to avoid it.
A quick step to the side and Thibodeaux tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Thibodeaux is looking to wear down Mjölnir with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Mjölnir will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

OH! Thibodeaux has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Mjölnir smells blood and charges in for the finish! Mjölnir unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Thibodeaux sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
