The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doomsday dodges the punch combination from Herny.
Doomsday pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Herny clinches with his opponent.
Herny scores with a knee to the head.
It looks like Kronos Doomsday has been cut.
I was talking to Herny's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Herny with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Herny tries to land a knee to the head but Doomsday blocks with his arms.

Herny stops a takedown attempt from Doomsday.

Herny comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Herny's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Herny tries to clinch up but Doomsday circles away and keeps his distance.
Herny lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Herny lands a really nice looking cross but Doomsday seems unphased.
Herny is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

A lazy left from Herny finds it's target.
Doomsday throws a wild hook but Herny just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Doomsday gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Herny raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexis Herny!
During a confident post fight interview, Alexis Herny thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
