Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Bond (ranked 1935 p4p, 1965 weight class) and Teddy Dalrymple (ranked 206 p4p, 211 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Bond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Teddy Dalrymple!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bond pivots, looking for a leg kick but Dalrymple is out of range and Bond settles back down.
Dalrymple throws a fast counter high kick but Bond manages to duck under it in time.
Matt Bond seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bond tries to land a leg kick but Dalrymple saw it coming and moves away.
It seemed like Dalrymple was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Dalrymple on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Bond. Bond obviously looking to wear him down.
We've been informed that Dalrymple has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Dalrymple is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Dalrymple is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dalrymple is looking to work some ground and pound but Bond has wrist control.

Dalrymple is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bond thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Bond tries to free his leg and advance position but Dalrymple is retaining full guard.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Matt Bond will probably get the nod.

A nice right hand lands inside from Dalrymple.

Bond tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dalrymple just stands there and leans against the cage.

and Dalrymple counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Bond scores with a head kick. Dalrymple tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bond looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Bond pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dalrymple let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Dalrymple avoids the head kick by Bond.
Dalrymple throws a lazy right hand but Bond sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Dalrymple counters with a crisp one two that drops Bond! Dalrymple thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Bond to his feet! Bond is in big trouble!
Oh Bond is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bond wants to slow Dalrymple down by chopping away at his legs.

Bond tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dalrymple doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

and Dalrymple counters with a crisp right that sends Bond to the canvas! Dalrymple follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
