Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lucsakda Ratchanon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alphonse Carvalho!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ratchanon fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Carvalho looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Carvalho will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Carvalho blocks a head kick by Ratchanon.
Carvalho drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Ratchanon defends it well.
Ratchanon misses with an uppercut
and Carvalho counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Carvalho sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ratchanon's guard.
Ratchanon is trying to stand back up but Carvalho is controlling him
Carvalho seems to be working for a kimura but Ratchanon defends the submission attempt.
Ratchanon's coaches at Ishikawa MMA have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
