Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Curtis Shannon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 56 - 114 - 8, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clifford Val Salvacion!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Ben Hemmingworth and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salvacion takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Shannon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Shannon advances to half guard.
Shannon thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Shannon is taking a breather. Salvacion says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shannon is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Salvacion is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Shannon scores with a couple of nice shots.
Shannon moves into full mount! Salvacion won't be happy about that!
Salvacion is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Shannon has isolated one of Salvacion's arms. Salvacion looking to fight him off but Shannon twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
