Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diego Macaco (ranked 472 p4p, 368 weight class) and Osmany Pizziconi (ranked 66 p4p, 50 weight class). Macaco kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Can’t Touch This. Diego Macaco has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 23 - 0, fighting out of London, Osmany Pizziconi!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macaco cracks Pizziconi with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Pizziconi stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Macaco.
Macaco tries to keep at a distance but Pizziconi has taken the fight into the clinch.
A short left from Macaco.
Macaco pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Macaco just misses with a elbow thrown towards Pizziconi's brow.
Macaco misses with a punch on the inside.

Pizziconi lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Macaco counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Pizziconi shoots in looking for a takedown but Macaco manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pizziconi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
It looked like Macaco wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Pizziconi looks to land a combination. Macaco sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Macaco fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pizziconi manages to avoid it.

Macaco does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Macaco stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Macaco wants it to stay on the feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Pizziconi or perhaps it was just good defense by Macaco, which made it look bad.

Macaco is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pizziconi can do to turn this around?

Macaco steps in with a hook that catches Pizziconi right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Macaco follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Pizziconi looks absolutely devastated.

After winning the bout, Diego Macaco thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
