Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Larry Big (ranked 3960 p4p, 3927 weight class) and Riku Tanigawa (ranked 0 p4p, 344 weight class). Riku Tanigawa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Larry Big! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Riku Tanigawa! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanigawa clinches. Tanigawa is trying to force a seperation but Big has the dominant position. Big being controlled against the cage. Big stalling the fight.
Big successfully pulls guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Tanigawa won't allow Big to get back to his feet. Tanigawa must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Big is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Big trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Big is trying to control the position but Tanigawa postures up.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Tanigawa wants to stand and escape but instead Big has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Tanigawa is working an open guard so Big takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Tanigawa misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tanigawa drives through and clinches with Big against the cage.
Big tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Tanigawa tries to circle away but Big has him pinned against the cage. Stalling in the clinch from Big.
Tanigawa breaks the clinch.
Riku Tanigawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Big pivots, looking for a leg kick but Tanigawa is out of range and Big settles back down. Tanigawa steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Big. Tanigawa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Big is looking to counter the offense by Tanigawa and move into the clinch.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Tanigawa tries to clinch up but Big circles away and keeps his distance. Tanigawa fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Big changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tanigawa tries to avoid it but Big manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tanigawa to the ground. Tanigawa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Big darts in and clinches Tanigawa up against the cage. Tanigawa tries to circle away but Big has him pinned against the cage. Big keeps control of Tanigawa as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Big wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Larry Big. That's going to take a lot out of him. Big swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Tanigawa is trying to break the clinch but Big is controlling him. Tanigawa looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Tanigawa has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Big breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Big scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Tanigawa, as that shot connected.
Tanigawa rushes Big and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Tanigawa taking a breather. Big on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Big slows down the pace here.
Big fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Tanigawa pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Big misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
 That's four minutes gone in the round.
Big moves into the clinch.
Tanigawa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Tanigawa connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Nice sprawl there from Tanigawa as Big shoots in. Tanigawa lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Tanigawa tries to bum rush Big with a series of wild strikes but Big uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Big half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Tanigawa lands with a hook. Big tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. This has been an exciting period of action! Tanigawa moves in looking to clinch but Big pushes him off. As Tanigawa looks to move away, Big throws a big counter combo but Tanigawa just gets out of the way. Big shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tanigawa defends it nicely. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Big is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Tanigawa.
 Big is rocked! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Riku Tanigawa dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Big fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Tanigawa thumps Big with a low kick. Big looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Tanigawa scores with a three punch combo!
Oh Big is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Tanigawa tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Big paws at him with a jab and circles away. Tanigawa avoids the head kick by Big.
Big moves in looking to clinch but Tanigawa pushes him off. Big really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Big is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Tanigawa just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Big has gone limp and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Riku Tanigawa! A relieved looking Riku Tanigawa thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
