Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 43 - 36 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sven Torvik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jorge Leon!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Luis Engracia and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torvik takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Leon's coach down at Power of Youth was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Leon's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
A swing and a miss from Torvik.
Leon keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Torvik.
Leon connects with a body shot that sends Torvik's belly button to the back.
Torvik throws a lazy right hand but Leon sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Leon connects with a good right hand that stumbles Torvik. Torvik circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Torvik tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Leon was well out of range. Poor timing from Torvik.
Sven Torvik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Leon throws out a powerful jab.
Torvik takes one to the side of the head.
Leon should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Torvik misses with a hook to the body
and Leon counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Leon cracks Torvik with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Torvik ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Leon moves away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Torvik ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Torvik digs a good body shot into Leon's ribs.
Torvik throws a push kick but Leon slaps the foot to one side.
Torvik is looking to wear down Leon with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Torvik does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Torvik connects with a nice looking jab.
It looks like Jorge Leon has been cut.
Torvik cracks Leon with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Torvik has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Leon to stand back up!
Leon is rocked!
Leon throws a lazy right hand but Torvik sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Leon misses with a wild combination.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Torvik closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Leon out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sven Torvik!
Sven Torvik was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
