Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Lucero (ranked 2425 p4p, 2042 weight class) and Samuel Henchy (ranked 272 p4p, 240 weight class). Samuel Henchy will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gabriel Lucero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Samuel Henchy!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henchy stuffs the takedown.
Lucero gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Henchy lands a nice looking body shot.
Henchy rushes Lucero and presses him up against the cage.
Lucero jumps guard but Henchy turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Henchy wants the takedown. Lucero is fighting it off but Henchy persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lucero's guard against the cage.
Henchy tries to stand but Lucero is controlling from the bottom.
Henchy has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Lucero to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Henchy is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Lucero pulls down on the head and he's put Henchy to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Gabriel Lucero!
