Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Dochenko (ranked 4427 p4p, 21699 weight class) and Kain Mack (ranked 343 p4p, 389 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Ivan Dochenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 21 - 35 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kain Mack! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Illya Tyunina and Igor Prikhodko.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Mack misses. Dochenko lands with a right hand. Mack misses with a body kick. Mack lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Mack throws out a token jab with nothing on it. We've been informed that Mack has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Kain Mack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dochenko jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Dochenko takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Dochenko swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Dochenko swings away with a body shot that misses
and Mack counters with a one-two to the body. Dochenko connects with a right hand. Mack shakes it off. Mack fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Mack. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dochenko misses with a looping left. Dochenko ducks under a wild hook from Mack. Dochenko pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mack back to the cage. Dochenko follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Mack wants to slow Dochenko down by chopping away at his legs. Dochenko scores with a jab. Mack cracks Dochenko with a good jab.
 It looks like Ivan Dochenko has been cut. Mack throws out a loose jab but Dochenko uses good head movement to avoid it. Dochenko appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Mack throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Dochenko counters with a nice double leg into guard. Dochenko looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Dochenko trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Dochenko keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mack's head. Dochenko slips nicely into half guard. Dochenko prevents Mack from standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dochenko throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Mack looks winded! Mack avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Dochenko. Still in half guard, Dochenko seems content to control. Dochenko thows a huge punch but Mack dodges it nicely.
Mack is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dochenko scores with a couple of nice shots. Dochenko looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Dochenko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mack is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dochenko scores with a couple of nice shots.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Dochenko is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Dochenko keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Mack really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dochenko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dochenko's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Dochenko seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mack for as long as he can get away with.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Dochenko slips a nice elbow through Mack's hands, connecting with Mack's forehead. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dochenko connects with a nice short shot to Mack's temple. Dochenko working Mack over with strikes. Dochenko lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Dochenko is nestled in close to Mack, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Dochenko looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mack with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Dochenko with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Mack on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Dochenko. Dochenko is pushing Mack up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Mack doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dochenko dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Dochenko gets a warning from the ref for wasting time. Dochenko stalling against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Dochenko. Dochenko lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Mack is breathing heavily.

Dochenko is trying to trip Mack. He has hold of a leg but Mack is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Dochenko persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Dochenko is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Further stalling from Dochenko. Dochenko lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Dochenko is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mack can do to turn this around? Dochenko's corner is telling him to maintain position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Dochenko continues to stall. Dochenko scoring with punches to the head and body. Ivan Dochenko overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Mack being controlled here, momentarily.  That's three minutes gone in the round. Dochenko postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Dochenko slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Dochenko is stinking the place up with his stalling. Dochenko distracts Mack with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Dochenko connects with a couple of short punches. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dochenko's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Mack being controlled here, momentarily. Dochenko is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Dochenko slips nicely into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mack can do anything to dispel that myth. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dochenko is nestled in close to Mack, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Dochenko controls the position. Mack takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Dochenko is putting a hurting on Mack here, landing some big shots from side control. Dochenko is working Mack over with some ground and pound from side control. Dochenko slows the pace down.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mack takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Dochenko lands a heavy elbow. Dochenko controlling his opponent. Dochenko scoring with strikes but Mack is staying in there. Dochenko with shots to the head and body - Mack looks very uncomfortable down there. Dochenko lands a big elbow - Mack is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Mack is forced to tap out!
