Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Slade Hodge (ranked 3890 p4p, 24090 weight class) and Frank Anderson (ranked 379 p4p, 436 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Slade Hodge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Frank Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hodge looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
The fighters circle momentarily. Hodge darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Hodge swings widly with a right hand
and Anderson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Anderson slaps away a takedown attempt from Hodge, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Anderson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
A big left from Hodge misses.
Anderson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hodge.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Anderson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hodges jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

A head kick from Anderson lands but Hodge takes it in his stride.
Hodge jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Anderson has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Hodge throws a left and a right that both miss
and Anderson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Anderson lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
A decent looking cross lands there for Anderson.
Hodge closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Anderson scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

and Anderson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hodge connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Anderson circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Hodge drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Anderson follows Hodge to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frank Anderson!
