Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rocco Raymond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiroto Maksim!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maksim feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Maksim slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Raymond takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Raymond is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Maksim is figuring out what he wants to do next.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Maksim connects with a nice short shot to Raymond's temple.
Maksim is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Maksim is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Maksim is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Raymond defends it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maksim is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Raymond is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
